I am unable to understand the quote "A nation is run by a MAN ", when giving birth, feeding family, caring for them and grooming this MAN is done by a WOMAN.
Let us discuss something more than words, facts and society
view on women. Let’s share our emotion on women. We all may have one lady at home who cooks
more than some raw vegetables in 30+ C temperature, carrying the emotion and
prayers in her heart, when her family is going to eat the fruits of her hard labor they will feel nutritious and energetic, and will achieve everything they want with filled stomach. With so many emotions and goodwill she put the food on the
table, and some children or adults remark, "Oh man, shit. What have you cooked today?" , or "Hey, it is a bit salty". Could you feel the pain she would have felt then. It was just an instance, but in daily life many such instances with respect to various context happens with a Woman, who holds the house.
Gradually, she starts cracking from inside, by making some statements which we
feel like lectures. Friends its more than some
lecture. It is an explanation of all the effort she had made to make the meal or to do the work which we do not appreciate wholeheartedly, which I believe we could have. I assume it’s not that hard to say a simple "Thank you" or show a gesture of appreciation to the woman who only prays for your happiness.
An Indian Women, a
journey where one need to deal with various physical, mental and hormonal transformations. From a girl (someones's daughter) she grows to be a women (someone's wife) and then a mother. She lives through the separations (living apart from her parents, family and the home where she grew as a girl). She makes countless sacrifices just to provide smile on her family's faces. She is the epitome of unconditional love.
"She's everything even when she's treated like nothing"
Imagine this scenario, if for a day the lady of the house goes on strike and refuses to make food or do any work of the house and take a break. How would the house run? Would the food you cook taste perfect? Would the dishes you wash be stainless? And the most important question would you be able to manage to do all these household work without making a fuss about it? Each one of us knows the answer to these questions deep down. Woman is a suppressed emotion which we often forget to pay attention.
Now, elate yourself and take a deep breath. My friend we are the ones who keep shouting unable to see things. The thought doesn't occur to us that "It’s my house accordingly my duty to share the work", so that everyone get their free time, shuffle the work schedule like bachelors do in PGs.
Every father and brother has dream that their daughter or sister, should be treated as Queen, have lots of happiness, and many loved ones in her family, but no husband or son try to give the same to his wife or mother, failing to remember the fact that she is also a daughter or a sister to someone, for whom someone also would have prayed the same thing.
Let's move our perspective outside the four walls of her house. May be the outer world would be a great place for her. With all the reservation seats and women quota life would very easy for them in the society.
"The human rights is not a female fight"
Now, to check the above stated assumption, lets have a
small travel in a bus 🚍 and a girl in short or tight dress enters
the bus 🚍, most of our heads start to turn. Some take their eyes away in disgust and some take their eyes towards her staring and stalking with a growling interest. She gets the attention which she may or
may not like. But the continual stalks definitely makes her feel
uncomfortable. She changes her posture or use bag as shield to cover herself. If you are unbiased then think of the situation, if she is equal then why was there an excruciating environment in there? Why she wanted to
hide herself from someone's vision? Why can't she wear what she wants to? Why is she not allowed to laugh in public like other Men. Why is she judged on the basis of the posture she sits in, the manner she eats and the way she talks? Whys is the margins only drawn for 'HER' not 'HIM' ? I totally accept that all of us are judged at
some point in our life. But being judged on what you are in every point, feels like someone is trying to refrain or impede you in every step. Putting forward in fancy terms, "Trying to keep her like a doll you want to have."
Please, “If you want a change for your family, be the part of change of grand humanity neighborhood".
Up until we
have this mentality that “It's their problem, we don't need to get indulged in that to make our hands dirty", you or your loved ones will get the same answer, when they are in trouble. Because people facing the situation change, but the situation never changes.
If you worship a woman as goddess for money and power, then first learn to treat her as of equal, as a partner, as a colleagues, and above of all as a human. It is a sad reality of the society that no matter woman is making the nation proud in sports, science and technology, still she does not get a proper respect inside the four walls of her house nor the society she lives in. Now, this might not be a true story in many houses, but still some houses exist whose story is exactly as described above. The fancy decors and the expensive presents would not please her as much as few soothing words and some admiration of her efforts would. Now, we also don't say men are all villains and demons. Here we are suggesting to share the household work if you don't already, and raise a voice for anything wrong you notice around you. That may change the societal status of many women.
"How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes."

It's the best blog that I have read.. Fight for women empowerment
ReplyDeleteThank you Ma'am.. Sure we will take a stand.
DeleteOf course, woman is as important as man. The rest is a primitive mentality which most refuse to change.
ReplyDeleteWe agree with you, but mentality can be changed if only we make them realize they are wrong. Nothing is impossible to achieve, so is change in human mentality.
DeleteI would like to say something out of this ....being a girl myself I agree that quite a few points of urs are true but that bus incident can have two point of views ... firstly a girl need not to wear short dresses to make herself a show peice to stare ..girls in salwar kameez are also being harassed and going more low those demons have started putting eyes on even small girls ....and the next point of view can be that we can portray girls as the most sati sawitri types ...I have met few girls beacuse of whom I was ashamed of being a girl ...for few girls feminism is walking openly in innerwear and when they are being stared they complain ...they have to understand the real meaning of feminism and secondly they should remember that even a man in his innerwear walking in public will also be stared equally ...so we need to make the world understand the realy meaning of feminism ..
ReplyDeleteWe completely agree with your point of view ma'am... But in the bus incident the girl was wearing a shorts which is a home wear for many.. I am sure a man wearing his shorts to the bus won't be stared at. So why should be a girl? and why it makes her a show piece? does it make a man a show piece? First we need to ask ourselves this questions. Second yes girls as human might be good or bad men and women both are humans who as a person might have any traits but that does not mean they deserved to be humiliated sexually. We have not covered feminism in this article, here our aim was to understand the emotions they go through in day to day life and trying to change our perspective of looking at them.
DeleteA boy wearing shorts of the same size as the girl will also be stared and we cannot tell that the human generation should stop staring ....it's very common ... anything which is different from normal is a peice of attraction for any one of us .... secondly if we really need our girls to be treated with equal respect and integrity then we should start teaching our boys from the very beginning that by supporting a woman or taking a stand for her u r not doing any favours to her ...it is a human thing and should be seen like that ....then I think somewhere this difference between men and women will be overcomed ....
Deleteyes ma'am that is true. We have to teach both girls and boys from the very beginning to treat and respect each others as equals. Thank you for sharing your views.
