“God may wake you up with an empty stomach, but he will give you every way to earn the food in the entire day, so you do not sleep
hungry”. But what if suddenly you lose your Source of Income the very next day? You just ask those people who went through this, their voice starts breaking, when
they say “I
have a family at home, and I don’t know how to face them Empty Handed”. They are already on the edge because of their hunger but what worries them more is their Family. that is
price they are paying for the bond of love.
Job
Loss in Pandemic
About 100-120 millions Indians have lost their jobs due to the nationwide lock down in the wake of COVID-19. Around 75% of them were small traders and daily wage-laborers. In America, the total number of people who lost their job so far during the COVID-19 pandemic is almost 40 millions. The stats are hardly about 19% of total job loss all over the world.

Truth
On Hunger
Till now as per the known stats around 525k people have lost their life due to COVID-19, but no one is counting the death by hunger due to it. Many small scale earners, whose house was run on the daily earning, had left the cities and started 1000 km journey to their village barefoot as government of India announced the Lock down. They lost their hope and realized that, if they stayed in the city in the expectation of situation getting better for them, or the Government announcing any schemes for their living, their family would die of Hunger, due to the costly life in the city.
In my views, seeing your children asking for food, is the worst and the most hurtful feeling for a Father. At that time he feels so powerless and so shattered from inside. Today this is the reality of Life in many houses all over the world.
They believe heaven might be a place with all kinds of food and happiness, so they decide to leave silently, so that rich one does not get disturb during their dinner.
Though
our government, many NGOs and many people with compassion souls, are donating in the
Government funds, distributing food and shelter, which has saved many lives and the hope of humanity is still alive in this world. We are
heartily thankful to those people.
I would like to mention few of the many Honorable names who donated for the needy ones:
- Indian Olympic Association (IOA)-> Rs 71,14,00)
- Tata Sons->1,500
Crores
- JSW Group->100
Crores
- Indian Film Industry total->116 Crores
- Bill Gates ,
Alibaba Founder ,jack Ma and Li-shing combined donated(100 Billion)
But all the above Figures does not make much difference when we see the work done on the ground level. In India, we have lack of Medical Facilities that includes Ventilators, PPE Kit, isolation wards for Patients. There is no proper channel of information in the medical department about the problems and difficulties people are facing due to hunger and dying on the streets. Covid-19 or more popularly known as, Corona Virus is making every single person realize the most important thing for survival, which we human never felt grateful earlier, “BREATH and FOOD”.
At the end, I will conclude that, we all are facing the same enemy and each one of us are in this together, irrespective of our gender, color, language, lifestyle, religion, caste or greed. We humans have made these underrated segregation to make oneself superior and unique in one or another way, but now is not the time for this . We need to hold ourselves and our fellowmen tight no matter where we are and lets fight against this common enemy till the end, Humanity must not loose from a Mutable 8-29nm Virus.
Let us all pray for the ones who lost their lives in the Pandemic and be with People who are
still alive. Reach out to them. These days people are also dealing with much mental
stress due to increase in cases and the fear of being contaminated which is leading them to
depression and mental pressure. Specially those who lost their jobs and the
source of income and they have a family to feed. We need to stay with them, talk
to them, help them in some or other way. We all are humans with same flesh and bones, and this is the
time to prove it with your Humanity and kindness. There is saying “The darkest night brings
the brightest Morning.”.
Eventually the sun will rise. We all will celebrate our Festivals and see our loved ones; friends, family, society, park, schools, colleges and the world will restore itself. Just hang in there for some time Just hang in there.
